HGBM is one of my first “Christian” pieces, created in 2021—a year that marked a turning point in the trajectory of my life. It was birthed during a season of fasting and prayer that stretched over several months, and is rooted in Luke 4, Matthew 4, and Deuteronomy 1:29–32. At the time, my reality felt riddled with temptation and fear like a wilderness stretching as far as the eye could see. But when I looked up, I could see clearly: He goes before me. This piece became a personal reminder of His faithfulness,  empathy, and truth.
