This drawing is based on the scripture it’s named after: “And the government shall be on His shoulder.” While creating it, I reflected on how Jesus took the lowest place in order to be exalted to the highest position. This gentle piece depicts our King — “who, for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2). It’s a visual reminder of His authority, His humility, and His enduring love.
