The True Shepherd is based on 1 Peter 2:24-25. As I prepared to paint, a clear image came to me—a shepherd leading his sheep. What you see in this piece is the redemption of the Lord’s people: His children, His sheep, being gently led to their Shepherd and the Overseer of their souls.
